Since the beginning of his career he has been a specialist in the field of intellectual property rights, particularly in the field of trade mark law. Since 2011, he has also held the title of Specialist Lawyer for the Protection of Intellectual Property.

In his capacity as a lawyer, he regularly advises start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, groups of companies and also internationally active companies in matters of intellectual property.

A large number of trademark applications in Germany, the EU and internationally reflect his focus on the establishment and protection of trade marks. Over the last 15 years, Sylvio has regularly been ranked among the top 10 trademark attorneys in Germany and the EU.

His main areas of practice include： 

- The development of brand strategies for companies in the start-up phase or for product launches as well as the further development and maintenance of existing brands. 

- Advising on and filing national and EU trademark applications 

- International trademark applications to extend national rights within and outside WIPO

- The defence and procedural enforcement of trade mark rights, copyrights and other industrial property rights before the national trade mark offices or before the courts of law.

- The drafting, review and negotiation of license agreements and merchandising agreements or agreements for the sale of intellectual property rights.
