Germany's registration time is in mainstream countries, and the audit cycle is relatively fast. If you are concerned about trademarks and brand certificates, Germany is also one of the top choices. Let us know how long it will take for Germany.

German trademark registration time:

The applicant applies for trademark registration in Germany and entrusts the company to apply for registration with the German trademark authority.

After we receive the application documents, we will promptly hand them over to the relevant departments.

The applicant generally receives the response document, acceptance date, and acceptance number within 1-2 working days.

In cases where the legal process is very smooth, trademark applications usually take about 4-6 months.

The specific schedule is as follows:

1) Formal review: After submitting the application, review the legality of the submitted application documents, trademark patterns, power of attorney, and other documents; If the requirements are met, the application date and application number will be granted.

2) Substantive examination: According to the law, examine whether the trademark can be registered, whether it is the same or similar to a previously registered trademark, and whether it violates the prohibited provisions of the Trademark Law.

For trademarks that have not passed substantive examination, the examiner shall notify the applicant in writing and inform them of the reasons for rejection.

The applicant may submit a review within a time limit from the date of receiving the rejection notice, otherwise it shall be deemed as abandoning the application and the application date and number shall not be retained.

3) Trademark Announcement: After examination, the examiner believes that the trademark application is acceptable and will be published in the German official trademark announcement.

The objection period is 3 months after the announcement date.

4) Registration approval: Trademarks that can be registered after a ruling of opposition or trademarks that have been announced as having no objections can be registered and issued a registration certificate.

The entire smooth application process (if not rejected, disputed, etc.).

5) It takes approximately 4-6 months.
